Working with iParts and Autodesk Vault

Brian Schanen on his Autodesk Under the Hood blog has posted a really great series of articles about using iParts with Vault. Historically, iParts we’re never quite Vault friendly. I’m going to read up on this blog series to see where he’s going with this. I really still question how Inventor handles iParts within assemblies that are read only from being checked into the Vault. I may just learn something new.

Autocad WS for iPhone & iPad

Autocad WS for the iPhone or iPad is now available within the Apple App store.
At first use, it took some time to login. Not sure why, but it could have been my data connection at the time. Which is also probably why I’m receiving constant error messages about no connection. Autodesk may need to rethink the automatic save idea which is most likely causing these errors on a flakey 3G signal. Using this app on a small device would make you want to use the app in the field where data connections may not always be so robust. Try it out for yourself.
